Paper of BISTU Honored by Emerald

Beijing, 28th June 2018, BISTU— Prof. Zhu Ge from School of Information Management of BISTU is recently awarded Emerald Literati Awards for Excellence by Emerald, a world famous publishing institution.  

 

In the past 24 years, Emerald Literati Awards has selected 245 outstanding papers and 513 highly commended papers to highlight preeminent contribution of excellent scholars. In 2018 altogether 4 Outstanding Papers and 33 Highly Commended Papers are awarded to Chinese scholars inclusive of Prof. Zhu Ge’s paper as a key achievement of research of social sciences in BISTU.  

Working together with Dr. Kevin Kam Fung So and Dr. Simon Hudson from South Carolina State University, Zhu Ge publishes “Inside the sharing economy: Understanding consumer motivations behind the adoption of mobile applications” on International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, a prestigious academic journal, in September 2017. And this year it is selected as one of Emerald Highly Commended Papers with Zhu Ge as the first author and BISTU as the institution where he completes the research. Within two months of publication, this paper has been downloaded more than 1000 times.  

As one of the most authoritative journals, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management is also recognized by National Natural Science Foundation as a key famous international journal. Its average impact factor (IF) in the past five years reaches 3.567. The journal ranks the 36th in all 194 internationally famous journals on management.  

Standards of election for Emerald are: A, making breakthroughs in knowledge system or research methodology; B, excellent framework and writing; C, closely related to practice and future researches; D, keeping pace with the times; and E, in compliance with topics of the journal. For about 150 papers published on International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, editorial board will select one paper as Outstanding Papers and 3 as Highly Commended Papers.
