Beijing, 9th December, 2017 (BISTU)— President Wang Yongsheng attends Forum of Quality Improvement and Mode Innovation of Higher Education and delivers a keynote speech on top design and overall improvement of educational quality at BISTU. The Forum is sponsored by Beijing Higher Education Association, Beijing Normal University and Beijing Education Media Group. It is aimed at improving modernization level of universities in Beijing, discussing key strategic demand and latest reform trends, and promoting quality of higher education.
In his speech High Moral Standards in Education, Top Design Enhancement, and Overall Improvement of Educational Quality in Universities, Wang Yongsheng points out that higher educational institutions shall keep on the high moral standards in education, focus on overall competence of students, and take the responsibility of great rejuvenation of Chinese nation. He systematically introduces measures that BISTU has taken in top design and overall enhancement of education quality. BISTU will: guided by the 13th Five Year Plan, confirm orientation of education; with emphasis on human resources reform, facilitate faculty team building; enhance internal governance; supported by discipline construction, enrich content of education; making breakthroughs in research, improve level of education. With regard to teaching and education reform practice, Wang Yongsheng shares BISTU experience in five aspects, including optimizing systems, nurturing quality, innovative talents of applied learning, deepening reform to build a brand of innovation and entrepreneurship, expanding channels for educational globalization, and full participation in teaching quality monitoring.
Wang Yongsheng says that BISTU will conduct further research on the spirit of the 19th National Congress of CPC, enhance overall competence in education, and contribute more to development of higher education in Beijing and the nation.
The forum is attended by over 80 delegates, including experts, famous professors, directors of general administration offices, and directors of academic affairs offices from higher educational institutions in Beijing and other provinces.
