Dr. Bedassa Tadesse received his B.Sc. Degree in Economics in Ethiopia, M.Sc. Degree in Development Economics in India, and M.A. and Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Western Michigan University, U.S.A. With his vast travel and training experience from different parts of the world (Africa, Asia, Europe and the United States), Dr. Tadesse's research areas concentrates on International Trade, Foreign Direct Investment, and Economic Development problems of the developing countries. Dr. Bedassa Tadesse has authored or co-authored 3 books. His recent publications have appeared in the Journal of International Trade and Development Economics, Eastern Africa Social Science Research Review, Journal of Rural Development, and Agricultural Economics. He is referee of Applied Economies, International Trade Journal, Journal of Economics and Finance, Journal of Socio-Economics, World Development, Journal of Migration Studies and Journal of Developing Areas.
Dr. Bedassa Tadesse was recruited at BISTU as a high-end expert in a government-sponsored High-end Foreign Experts Recruitment Program. Dr. Bedassa Tadesse was appointed Honorary Professor of Beijing Information Science & Technology University on November 28, 2013.
