Beijing, 15th July 2026 (BISTU)—— Vice President He Wei met with Shijiazhuang Tiedao University delegation headed by Vice President Wang Wei on 13th July 2026. The meeting was hosted by Director Cao Lin of Department of Research.

He Wei extended warm welcome to Shijiazhuang Tiedao University delegation and offered an introduction to BISTU in respect of history, academic disciplines and academic research. He pointed out that both universities were engineering-focused and were strongly complementary in rail transit, information technology, and control. It was hoped that both universities would deepen cooperation on joint research, commercialization of research findings, faculty exchanges and interdisciplinary innovation to contribute to Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated sciences and technology innovation.

Wang Wei expressed thanks to the warm reception and offered an introduction to history, academic disciplines, academic research, technology transfer, and introduction and cultivation of high-level talents. He was impressed by achievements of BISTU in intellisense, intelligent control, and intelligent equipment. He hoped that both universities would strengthen cooperation in key research projects, technology transfer, faculty exchanges and laboratory resources sharing.

Faculty of both universities then conducted discussions on future cooperation and shared experiences for mutual reference.

Shijiazhuang Tiedao University delegation visited the exhibition of research achievements, university history museum, and the University Library.

Faculties of academic research, Human Resources, commercialization of research findings, and deans of relating colleges of both universities attended the meeting and discussions.
