Beijing, 17th January　2024 (BISTU)--- Aiming at boosting optimization of spaces for academic research and enhancing effectiveness of science and technology innovation to contribute to high-quality, big-stride development of the University, Secretary Xie Jiangling of CPC BISTU Committee and President Guo Fu conducted survey on BISTU labs at China Mobile International Information Port on 17th July 2024.

At China Mobile International Information Port, Xie Jiangling and Guo Fu enquired about spatial layouts, facilities, and daily management of the labs and reviewed the reports delivered by head of the labs on current progress and future plans. They emphasized that all units and departments should in the first place enhance their political awareness. Centering on the principle of “diligence and honor” in working style, we were to stick to “student-centered” philosophy and seize the opportunity of building a “year-round university” to provide students and faculties with comprehensive, total-access, round-the-clock service. Second, we were to lay focus on key missions and coordinate to produce feasible solutions to various difficulties that labs would encounter in the process of moving into the Port. And third, safety and security enjoyed top priority. We were to strengthen students and faculties’ awareness of taking preventive measures and eliminate hidden troubles in a timely manner to ensure a safe, quiet place of research and learning.

Xie Jiangling and Guo Fu then inspected university gates and canteens on safety and security measures to be taken during the winter holiday. They extended thanks to faculties and staff who would stay on their duties in holiday. We must strengthen the awareness of responsibilities to make sure the university would be running in a safe, stable, orderly manner. Xie Jiangling and Guo Fu said.

The survey was joined by Vice President Ye Xiangzhong as well as directors of General Administration Office, Postgraduate Office, Office for Scientific Research, Industry and Business Assets Management Office, Assets Management Office, Labs Management Office, Logistics Management Department, and Office for Safety and Security.
