Beijing, 11th December, 2015(BISTU) --- President Wang Yongsheng attended and addressed to the 221th of China Engineering Science and Technology Forum ---Precision Measurement and Advanced Manufacturing Forum, organized by Chinese Academy of Engineering and co-hosted by State Key Laboratory of Precision Measurement Technology and Instruments, Hefei University of Technology, and BISTU. The forum welcomed academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering Ye Shenghua, Duan Zhengcheng, Wang Liding, Yang Shanlin, Liu Wenqing, Jiang Zhuangde, Fang Jiancheng, Yang Haicheng as well as over 200 scholars from 50-odd universities including Tsinghua University, Tianjin University, Beihang University, Harbin University of Technology, Chongqing University, Southeast University, University of Science and Technology of China, National University of Defense Technology, Hefei University of Technology, Xi’an University of Technology, and BISTU. An Yaohui, Deputy Director-general of Bureau 3 of CAE and Wu Yucheng, Vice President of Hefei University of Technology also addressed to the opening ceremony. Ye Shenghua hosted the ceremony.  

In his address, Wang Yongsheng extended warm welcome to all academicians and scholars participating in the forum and to co-hosting institutions for their support. Following a brief introduction to BISTU, Wang Yongsheng hoped that BISTU School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronics Engineering would actively adapt to social demand and further deepen reform on education. Taking the opportunity of this forum, the School shall strengthen academic exchanges and expand potential for growth. Meanwhile, he emphasized that BISTU will continue to enhance openness of education and strengthen collaboration with educational institutions home and abroad, research institutions, and enterprises.  

China Engineering Science and Technology Forum, originated in 2000 by CAE, has concluded its 221th forum. The Forum, with its focus on key and substantial fields of engineering science and technology and enhancement of innovation and management competence of Chinese engineering science and technology, offers stage for specialists and experts, especially young talents of science and technology. 

Shortly before the opening ceremony, Wang Yongsheng met and talked with Academician Ye Shenghua, Chair of the Forum and Chairman of BISTU Academic Affairs Committee.
