Beijing, 10th January 2024 (BISTU)--- A video conference was held between BISTU and Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT) of Uzbekistan on 9th January to explore cooperative ties between the two institutions.
Director Qu Li of International Cooperation Department (Dean of School of International Education) offered an introduction to BISTU and School of International Education. Qu Li pointed out that both BISTU and Tashkent University of Information Technologies were featured for strengths in teaching and research in the field of information technology, indicating a solid foundation for future cooperation. Both institutions could cooperate in the field of jointly-building academic disciplines, joint research, jointly-holding academic conferences, faculty exchange, and faculty training. China and Uzbekistan have established close ties in building the Belt and Road. Considering that Uzbekistan would need a large number of talents with professional skills who are well acquainted with Chinese language and culture, both institutions could work together in this field. All students currently studying at Tashkent University of Information Technologies were welcome to join BISTU for short-term or long-term learning. Qu Li said.
Ibrohimbek Yusupov, International Director of Tashkent University of Information Technologies, expressed that TUIT looked forward to working together with BISTU. Following his introduction to Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Yusupov expressed that there was an increasing number of Uzbekistan students who would like to study in China or work at Chinese enterprises in Uzbekistan. Tashkent University of Information Technologies expected to sign a memorandum of understanding with BISTU to conduct academic exchange and joint cultivation as soon as possible.

Both institutions conducted discussions and negotiation on joint research and joint cultivation of students. The consensus was reached that a summer school training program would be the beginning point of cooperation, followed by further communication between schools of both institutions to finally confirm concrete programs and patterns of cooperation.
The Conference and discussions were joined by Dean Khabibullo Nosirov of TUIT Radio and Mobile Communication School, Dean Gulomov Sherzod of TUIT Cybersecurity School, and Vice Dean Cai Ying of BISTU International Education School.
