Beijing, 18th January 2024 (BISTU)--- Executive Deputy Secretary Li Junfeng of Beijing Municipal Education Working Committee of CPC Beijing Municipal Committee visited and conducted educational survey at BISTU and met with Secretary Xie Jiangling of CPC BISTU Committee and President Guo Fu on 18th January 2024.

Xie Jiangling and Guo Fu produced introductions to buildings, configuration of educational resources, supporting facilities, progresses of in-progress buildings, surrounding transport, future plans of the new campus. Li Junfeng enquired about the general configuration and future building plans of the University on the New Campus.

Accompanied by Xie Jiangling and Guo Fu, Li Junfeng conducted survey on the New Campus.

Li Junfeng inspected the halls of residence for students, including facilities, functional areas, one-stop student community, etc.. Following the general principle of “establishing a better image, strengthening the cohesion, providing better service, and boosting development” and the objective of building a “year-round university”of CPC BISTU Committee, the University has made remarkable achievements in talent cultivation, students affairs, ideological and political education, cultural construction, etc.

Li Junfeng then visited the intelligent classroom and operation center of intelligent teaching at Art and Science Building of the New Campus. He was quite impressed with the multi-dimensional, digitized, interactive model of teaching, abundant resources on integrated platforms, group-discussion-based teaching, cross-campus teaching, etc. The University aimed at building an intelligent campus with focus on reform of teaching methodology and means, strengthening our feature in information technology, combining information technology with teaching, and promoting the ideal of “empowering education for all-round qualities of students”.

Li Junfeng visited MOE Key Laboratory of Modern Measurement and Control Technology and other laboratories to learn about research strengths, achievements of science and technology innovation, and the organized research mechanism of the University in respect of research supporting teaching activities, research meeting the demand of national strategic development, and research achievements serving social and economic development.

Li Junfeng spoke highly of the achievements that BISTU has made and expressed that BISTU has seized the opportunity of building the New Campus and made remarkable progresses in talent cultivation, academic discipline development, science and technology innovation, and doctoral degree programs. Progresses were seen both in teaching and research and cultural construction. With increasing level and quality of education, BISTU now is seeing a great future. It was hoped that the University keep going in a consistent manner to make greater contributions to educational cause of Beijing.
