Beijing, 22nd July 2026 (BISTU)--- Vice President He Wei visited universities, research institutions, public sectors, and enterprises in Kyrgyzstan from 19th to 22nd July 2026, following the visit of Chairperson Xie Jiangling of the University Council in May 2026. The visit was aimed to deepened practical cooperation between BISTU and Kyrgyzstan partners.

Centering on joint talent cultivation, international student education, artificial intelligence and digitalization, staff development, joint research, and industry-learning-research coordination, BISTU delegation headed by He Wei visited educational institutions, enterprises, and public sectors of governments.

He Wei visited Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn on 20th July and met with Vice Rector Bazakeeva Kunduz Zamanchayevna and Director Apaeva Sofya Khuseynovna of Kyrgyz-Chinese Research Institute. Both institutions explored cooperative feasibility in joint talent cultivation and faculty and student exchanges in the field of language learning, translation teaching, artificial intelligence, and information technology and reach consent on 1+4 and 2+2 joint programs, strengthening Chinese teaching and learning, and promoting student exchanges.

He Wei commented that BISTU delegation’s visit to Kyrgyzstan in May this year has laid a sound foundation for future cooperation. He added that signing agreement was just the first step followed by joint efforts in establishing a long-lasting, stable cooperative relationship. Both universities should work together on talent cultivation, academic research, and cultural exchanges for mutual complementary and mutual beneficial purposes. He Wei said.

Both institutions expressed that educational cooperation would serve as a bridge to connect peoples of the two countries in cultural exchange and communication.

BISTU delegation held talks with companies run or founded by alumni to learn more about social economic development, industry demand in talents, and progress of studying in China programs in Kyrgyzstan.

Talks were also held with faculty of Kyrgyzstan center of educational evaluation and teaching methodology for a deeper understanding of national examinations, higher education entrance examinations, and university admissions. Based on discussions of international student admissions, educational evaluation methodology, and the role of digital technology in assessment and educational management, both parties agreed to work together on strengthening the use of big data and information technology in education management and appraisal.

BISTU delegation met with Tolegen Amatov Apazovich, Director of the state institution Okuu Kitebi Publishing House. In-depth discussions were held on educational publishing, digital textbooks, language teaching resources, and digitalization of education. Both parties reached agreement on strengthening language learning and teaching and resources sharing.

He Wei commented that digitalization was now imposing profound impact upon the models of education and talent cultivation. BISTU has cultivated strong advantages in artificial intelligence, computer science, big data, robotics, electronic information and digital economy. It was hoped that both parties would strengthen cooperation in digital educational resources, intelligent educational platform, and application of information technology. An agreement of cooperation was then signed to provide guidance for future exploration.

BISTU delegation visited President of Kyrgyzindustriya OJSC and met with President Ismailov Almanbek Asankadrovich of the Company on 21st July. Both parties reached consent and signed the memorandum of cooperation on short-term technical training, joint cultivation of international students, field practice base construction, and school-enterprise joint research. Further discussions were held on industrial digitalization, intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence, automation, electronic information, software engineering, and robotics.

He Wei said that in-depth cooperation between universities and enterprises had substantial implications for cultivation of talents of applied learning and commercialization of research findings. It was hoped that strengths of BISTU in artificial intelligence, information technology, big data and intelligent manufacturing would be combined with industrial development of Kyrgyzstan. He added that both parties could work closely in talent cultivation, joint laboratories, staff training, and research collaboration.

BISTU delegation then visited Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic and held talks with Adiev Rahat Nurdinovich, Head of the Training Center of the Fund.

Adiev Rahat offered an introduction to the demand of talents and technical supports in respect of digitalization of public services and enhancement of professional capabilities of staff members. He hoped that experiences and strengths of BISTU in artificial intelligence and information technology could be applied to staff training. Both parties explored cooperative issues, including short-term training in China, short-term learning and research, and improvement of digitalization for the Fund.

Based on academic strengths in artificial intelligence, information technology, and big data, BISTU would like to explore multi-layered, multi-dimensional training and exchange programs with Kyrgyzstan partners. He Wei said. He added that global cooperation would strengthen cultivation, academic research, and cultural exchange at the University, a premise on which BISTU would be able to provide even better services with social and economic development of both countries.

The visit was a follow-up for the one in May 2026. Both visits helped expanded links between BISTU and Kyrgyzstan universities, research institutions, government sectors, and enterprises. Solid foundation has been laid for future cooperation in talent cultivation, international education, artificial intelligence, industrial digitalization, staff and faculty training, and industry-learning-research coordination.

BISTU would continue to strengthen cooperation and exchange & communication in education, science and technology, and humanities & culture with partners in Kyrgyzstan and other parts of Central Asia.

The delegation members included Director Cao Lin of Department of Research, Director Wang Lei of Office of Global Affairs (Dean of College of International Education), and faculties of College of International Education.
