Beijing, 5th November 2025 (BISTU)--- BISTU and CETC Big Data Research Institute Co., Ltd. signed a framework of cooperation on 5th November 2025. The signing ceremony, hosted by Executive General Manager Gaoshan of the Institute, was attended by President Guo Fu and Vice President Zhang Jian of BISTU, General Manager Sun Ting of CLP Taiji (Group) Co., Ltd., and Deputy Manager Qin Tinghui of CLP Taiji (Group) Co., Ltd. (Director of National Engineering Research Center of Big Data).

Guo Fu extended thanks to CLP Taiji (Group) Co., Ltd. for the support with development of BISTU in the past years and offered an introduction to the University in respect of educational history, academic disciplines, and talent cultivation, with focus on achievements of the University in artificial intelligence, big data, and quality management. Friendship between BISTU and CLP Taiji (Group) Co., Ltd. could be traced years ago and the two institutions have been working closely together in the past. CETC Big Data Research Institute, as an important innovation platform in big data, has distinctive influence in research and industries. He added that both parties could explore in-depth cooperation in joint research, talent cultivation, and field practice for students.

Sun Ting extended warm welcome to BISTU delegation and produced a brief introduction to CLP Taiji (Group) Co., Ltd.. For the past 60-odd years, the Group has been working on information technology and has established a talent reserve for big data technology and industry. In-depth integration of big data has been achieved in the area of medical treatment, political administration, and agriculture. He added that BISTU has prominent strengths in information technology and artificial intelligence. Signing of framework of cooperation would open a pathway to resource sharing, complementary advantages, and coordinated wins. Sun Ting said.

Zhang Jian and Qin Tinghui signed the framework of cooperation on behalf of their respective institutions, witnessed by Guo Fu and Sun Ting. Collaboration would be carried out in the field of joint research, commercialization of research findings, and talent cultivation.

The meeting was also attended by CLP Taiji (Group) Co., Ltd. staff including Deputy Director Cheng Wenyuan of General Administration Office, Deputy Director Jia Delin of Industrial Development Department, Manager Wei Jia of Administration and HR Center of National Engineering Research Center of Big Data, and Executive Deputy Manager Hu Haiyang (a BISTU alumnus in class of 2012) of Beijing Branch of CETC Big Data Research Institute and BISTU faculty and staff including directors and deans of the President’s Office, Department of Research, Office of Industry-education Integration, External Liaison Office, College of Computer Science, and College of Management Science and Engineering.

About National Engineering Research Center of Big Data

The predecessor of CETC Big Data Research Institute Co., Ltd. is the State Engineering Laboratory of Big Data Applied Technology for Governance Enhancement approved in November 2016. Led by CETC Big Data Research Institute, it was approved as a member institution of National Engineering Research Center and thus became the only Guizhou-based institution included in the Center.
