Beijing, 11th March 2026 (BISTU)--- North China University of Technology delegation headed by Chairperson Zhang Qihong of the University Council and President Zhang Lifeng visited BISTU on 11th March 2026. Chairperson Xie Jiangling and President Guo Fu met with the delegation.

Xie Jiangling extended warm welcome to the delegation. NCUT and BISTU are key engineering institutions administered by Beijing Municipality and share similar visions in development. Currently both institutions are facing with a series of core missions including new campus construction and management of multi-campus education. Xie Jiangling said that the visit would deepen cooperation between the two institutions in academic disciplines, talent cultivation, and campus management.

Zhang Qihong expressed thanks to the warm reception. He mentioned that a new campus of NCUT is being constructed in Yanqing District. He added that BISTU has made remarkable progresses and achievements in approval of doctoral programs, new campus construction, etc., which are valuable reference for NCUT. He hoped that both universities would strengthen exchange and communication in a number of areas. Mutual empowerment would bring mutual benefit. Zhang Qihong said.

Guo Fu and Zhang Lifeng commented that Beijing Municipality is now promoting reform and encouraging feature-based development in universities. It is a good opportunity for both universities for quality-oriented development. BISTU and NCUT would learn from each other in respect of academic discipline building, teaching and research, talent cultivation, and social service. They agreed that cooperation between the two universities would greatly contribute to high-quality social and economic development of Beijing.

Vice President Li Huatao offered a report on planning and construction of new campus. Both institutions then held discussions on new campus construction, multi-campus management, approval of doctoral programs, etc.

The meeting and discussion is also joined by Vice President Chen Jiaqing, Vice President Lu Xiaobin, and Vice President Chen Qun of NCUT and Vice President Wang Xingfen and Vice President Zhang Jian of BISTU.
