On the afternoon of April 9, BISTU signed a college-enterprise cooperation agreement with Guo’ao Controlling Company Limited, and at meantime, officially invited Zhang Jingdong, the Chairman of the Board and BISTU alumnus (1987) in industrial Electric Automation to be a guest professor. President Liu Gonghui presented the letter of appointment and put a badge of BISTU on him.

Vice-president Han Qiushi made an introduction to the general principles and contents of this framework agreement of strategic cooperation, which includes the establishment of the Cooperation Base between BISTU and Guo’ao, orientated cultivation, the establishment of an internship base, R&D and technology cooperation on scientific research projects.

On this occasion, Zhang Jingdong donated 500 thousand yuan to set up funds for academic awards, entrepreneur and S&T innovation activities. Returning to BISTU 23 years after graduation and wearing its badge as a professor, Zhang expressed his gratitude to his alma mater and said that, for him, this honor is both a trust and a spur.
