Beijing, 20th July 2026 (BISTU)--- Supervised by Beijing Association for Science and Technology, organized by BISTU and Beijing Society of Science and Technology Professionals and co-organized by Seentao Technology Co.,Ltd. and AiScholar, the 2026 International Conference on Intelligent Decision-making and Big Data Application (IDBDA 2026) and the 2nd International Conference on Management Science and Computer Engineering (MSCE 2026) successfully concluded on 18th July 2026 at Shahe Campus of BISTU.

Themed on “intelligent decision-making and big data application”, the Conference covered frontier areas such as intelligent decision-making theories, big data analysis technologies, and AI application. It was aimed to build a global platform of academic exchange and communication for the interdisciplinary area of management science and computer engineering.
Chairperson Xie Jiangling of BISTU University Council addressed the opening ceremony hosted by Vice President Wang Xingfen. Co-chairs of the Conference were Yang Shanlin (Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of Hefei University of Technology), Prof. Mohammad S.Obaidat (professor of the University of Jordan and IEEE Life Fellow), and Zhang Jian, Vice President of BISTU. The Conference greeted over 300 experts and scholars from China, USA, Jordan, Canada, Singapore, Austria, Japan, etc.

Xie Jiangling extended warm welcome to all distinguished guests. BISTU has been attaching great importance to crossdisciplinary development to enhance in-depth integration of management studies, computer and AI. It was hoped that the Conference would help make progress in intelligent decision-making and big data theories and explore new models and new pathways for industry-learning-research collaboration in big data industry so as to make contributions to national development strategy.

Centering on AI System Technology, Academician Yang Shanlin explained three layers of AI system and their respective applications. He expressed that AI has a vast prospect of development. Application of AI in social and economic areas would improve social productivity in a comprehensive manner and reshape employment patterns. He stressed that as AI was developing in an increasing speed, humans should cultivate the life-long learning competence which is quicker and more proactive than algorithm updates. We must maintain forward thinking and keen insight. More importantly, we need to fully unleash and manifest the unique value of human intelligence- the fundamental driving force behind human civilization progress that no algorithm or computing power can ever replace.

The keynote speech session saw experts from the world sharing their findings in frontier research. Prof. Mohammad S.Obaidat discussed innovative defense mechanisms against novel clean-label data poisoning attacks, highlighting the importance of robust training data validation. Prof. Kevin W. Li of the University of Windsor analyzed the implementation pathways of AI-enabled supply chain ESG management under differentiated spillover effects. Prof. Li Xiaoli of Singapore University of Technology and Design articulated the new paradigm where large models and time-series deep learning advanced from basic forecasting to intelligent decision-making that served diverse industries. Based on review of status quo of domestic capital market, Prof. Zhang Changlu of BISTU shared experiences of development and application of intelligent risk early-warning model for stock market. On the basis of big data in social media and generative AI, Associate Professor Ren Jie of Fordham University examined the gendered patterns in the communication of mental health content. Research Fellow Huang Chen of International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis provided an interpretation of the essential function of integrated assessment models in facilitating the transition from scientific research to policy in the field of energy and climate studies. And Assistant Professor Li Chao of Kyushu University discussed global ESG big data infrastructure and AI intelligent analytical framework.

The Award Ceremony of the 2025 Kylin Science and Technology Award was held on the day. Prof. Zhang Jian and Vice President Li Congju of Beijing Society of Science and Technology Professionals (professor of University of Science and Technology Beijing) presented certificates to award winners.

The Conference also set up six sub-forums centering on various topics. Sub-forum One focused on intelligent economic and digital governance to explore how big data and AI would empower digital industry and political governance. Sub-forum Two centered on the smart governance of urban underground space and discussed engineering scenarios such as intelligent monitoring of water supply and drainage pipe networks and failure mechanisms of urban lifelines. Sub-forum Three focused on the application of artificial intelligence in capital markets and risk prevention, with in-depth discussions on topics including AI-driven risk early-warning modeling. Sub-forum Four centered on smart emergency response and resilient governance, with a focus on key topics such as AI modeling for urban safety and drone-based firefighting for high-rise buildings. Sub-forum Five explored the new paradigm of intelligent governance and green development, featuring in-depth discussions on digital intelligence-enabled Beautiful China construction, power carbon accounting, coal mine emission reduction, and intelligent pricing for electric vehicle charging. And Sub-forum Six featured a Young Scholars Forum on Frontiers of Computing and Intelligent Decision-Making in Management Science, bringing together young researchers to share the latest findings on interdisciplinary topics including engineering risk modeling, graph neural networks for governance prediction, and intelligent port monitoring.

BISTU has organized IDBDA for eight sessions in a row. It was an important international academic platform for promoting interdisciplinary integration of management science, computer engineering, and artificial intelligence. It played an important role in facilitating research progress in intelligent decision-making and big data. And it had great implications in supporting national initiatives in the digital economy, smart cities, financial security, and the pursuit of the "dual carbon" objectives.
