Beijing, 8th June, 2017 (BISTU)--- BISTU new campus welcomes Wang Ning, Vice Mayor of Beijing Municipality who visits the campus to survey and research progress of construction projects as well as to promote following projects to be carried out. The on-site conference is attended by Yin Peiyan, Deputy Secretary-general of Municipal Government, directors-general of education commission, development and reform commission, urban planning, land & resources commission, housing and urban-rural development commission, guests from Changping district including District Chief Zhang Yanyou, Deputy Chief Sun Wei, Deputy Chief Wu Bin, and directors of relating departments such as general administration department, education department, development and reform department, housing and urban-rural construction department, urban planning department, land and resources department, Machikou town, Shahe town, etc., as well as BISTU senior administration, i.e., Chairman of University Council Wang Chuanliang, President Wang Yongsheng, Vice President Feng Xiaochun, Vice President Ma Qinghong, and Assistant to VP Lin Guoce. 　　   

Wang Ning positively comments on rapid progress with construction projects on the new campus and the contributions of BISTU in serving construction of Beijing as “four centers”. He points out that construction projects at BISTU new campus is the strategic demand of the plan to transfer out the non-essential functions of Beijing as the national capital. The municipal government attaches great important to the projects and has listed them as a special, key plan to transfer out the non-essential functions of Beijing as the national capital in 2017. All commissions and departments, as the Government requests, are expected to work closely together, follow the planning step by step, and ensure that projects on each stage are fully, satisfactorily completed. Wang Ning clearly expresses that in the first place, Changping District shall work hard to coordinate in the projects and make reasonable plan for resettlement of local inhabitants so as to make room for further construction. Secondly, BISTU also needs reasonable planning to optimize current designs based on actual situation. And thirdly, all commissions and departments shall ensure planning and financial support with the projects.  

On behalf of BISTU, Wang Chuanliang extends thanks to municipal government for the care of and support with construction of the new campus. He says that BISTU will take this previous opportunity of constructing a new campus and shoulder all responsibilities that are requested upon BISTU. The University will try best to promote “construction of five environments” in an effective way, advance development in leap and bound manner, and serve the Capital and integration of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei with performance of excellence.    

In his report on construction of the new campus, Ma Qinghong introduces progress with the new campus, general objectives of the campus, recent arrangement of construction, and major problems and suggestions in construction of the new campus. Changping District delivers a report on resettlement of local inhabitants who once lived on the area of the new campus. And discussions are conducted among commissions and department on implementation of the projects.
