Beijing, 18th May, 2017 (BISTU)--- Appraisal of principal lecturers of excellence at BISTU successfully concludes and three faculties are awarded Principal Lecturers of Excellence in 2016, i.e., Ai Hong of School of Automation, Liu Lingtao of School of Electromechanical Engineering, and Zhou Zhehai of School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronics Engineering. 　　   

The University initiates appraisal of principal lecturers of excellence in 2016 in last October. Based on individual application, evaluation of departments where the candidate works, university evaluation, and voting by teaching committee, the appraisal committee then conducts peer observation of class, university-level public class, and students’ voting and finally grants awards to three nominees.  

Improvement of teaching competence is fundamentally important for realization of objectives of BISTU’s 13^th Five-year Plan. The award on principal lecturers of excellence is more than an honor representing their teaching excellence. It indicates that faculties are substantial resources for construction of top-ranking university and top-ranking majors. The University will continue this annual event to fully activate faculties’ innovative competence and to enhance overall teaching quality at BISTU.
