Beijing, 24th February 2023 (BISTU)--- BISTU delegation headed by Vice President Chen Xin visited China Mobile International Information Port and discussed issues concerning joint laboratory on intelligent security with Deputy Manager General Wang Tongwen of the Information Port, Manager Liu Haiyong of Infrastructure Research of the Information Port, and Manager Wang Li of Administration Division of the Information Port on 22nd February 2023.

The joint laboratory on intelligent security was an important measure of the University in responding to university-district integration strategy of Changping District. Chen Xin said. He added that the University has attached great importance to building and development of the Laboratory. Key research areas of BISTU highly agreed with businesses of China Mobile International Information Port, indicating great possibilities of extensive cooperation between both institutions in commercialization of academic research achievements and incubation of science and technology enterprises. It was expected that both institutions would conduct further discussions to discover the demand of the Information Port in respect of operations and data management. Then key issues would be tackled by both institutions to promote university-district integration and mutual development.
Wang Tongwen commented that the joint laboratory of intelligent security was an important practice achieved by BISTU and China Mobile International Information Port with strengths of both parties and mutual benefits as premises. China Mobile International Information Port would provide comprehensive support with the lab. It was hoped that the lab would serve as a platform to strengthen university-district integration and cooperation and that joint achievements would be transformed into practical use in neighborhood areas of the Information Port and the University.
The first meeting of Management Committee of the Lab was also organized. Both institutions reached consent on specific matters such as project management, fund management, team building, achievements commercialization, academic exchange and communication, applying for higher level projects, and organizing seminars for industries.
The joint laboratory of intelligent security was a specific move of both BISTU and China Mobile International Information Port in bring strengths of both parties into full play, achieving seamless transition among industry, university and research, and implementing the strategy of Changping District in university-district integration. It was aimed at promoting research and development of key technologies. The joint lab will be based on research strengths of the University and the advantages of China Mobile International Information Port in respect of infrastructure and security management. Agreement has been signed by both institutions on the joint lab which will become a window of cooperation, a model base for new technologies, and a base for industrialization.
