Beijing, 8th March, 2021 (BISTU)— Accompanied by Deputy Secretary Zhou Zhicheng of CCP BISTU Committee, Vice President Fang Deying, Vide President Ma Qinghong, Secretary Chen Qinghua of Disciplinary Inspection Commission of CCP BISTU Committee, Assistant to Vice President Luan Zhongquan and Assistant to Vice President Lin Guoce as well as directors of relating divisions and offices, Secretary Wang Chuanliang inspects issues regarding construction and resettlement of the New Campus on 8th March 2021.  

On the construction sites, Wang Chuanliang carefully inspects progress of construction and enquires about plans on resettlement, particularly the progress of construction with teaching buildings and students’ halls of resident.  

Wang Chuanliang points out that construction of the New Campus has made rapid progress and great achievements. It owes much to support of all students, faculties and staff of BISTU. Special thanks shall be given to all faculties and staff who have devoted themselves to construction of the New Campus. 

With regard to resettlement of the New Campus, Wang Chuanliang requires that firstly all must enhance political awareness and firmly implement the decisions and policies of CCP Beijing Municipal Committee and Beijing Municipal Government. We are to “build the best university and achieve the best we can”. Secondly, overall strategic planning is necessary to unite strengths of all aspects of the University. Each division and office shall take their responsibility in construction of the New Campus. And communication with local government shall be further enhance to push forward smooth progress of New Campus construction. Thirdly, supervision and disciplinary inspection is to be strengthen. Construction of the New Campus shall be an elite project and a project of clean government. Supervision shall be able to cover every corner in this regard. It is strictly prohibited to violate pre-designed procedures. Fourthly, construction and resettlement of the New Campus shall serve as a precious opportunity for the University to comprehensively enhance educational quality and management. Fifthly, cultural construction shall be strengthened. It is necessary to further explore the rice cultural tradition and heritage of the University in the past 84 years of development. We are to seek truth from facts while being innovative and thinking more of our future. Our objective is to build a socialist university with Chinese characteristics which suits the requirements of the New Era. And sixthly, we shall promote workhorse spirit and be earnest and steadfast in our work. We are to make another splendid achievement and build a campus to the satisfaction of all students, faculties, and staff.  

New Campus Construction Office delivers a report on latest progress of construction and relating issues. Administration Office for Management Commission of the New Campus delivers a report on resettlement regarding the New Campus, epidemic containments, communication with local governments, etc. BISTU senior administrators host discussions on relevant issues with directors of General Administration Office, Publicity Department, Asset Management Division, and Office for Safety and Security.
