Beijing, 26th March, 2021 (BISTU)— The Working Conference on Safety in Production in 2021 successfully completes on 26th March 2021 at the conference room of Xiaoying Campus of BISTU. The Conference is addressed by President Wang Yongsheng, hosted by Deputy Secretary Zhou Zhicheng of CCP BISTU Committee, and attended by directors of relating divisions.  

Wang Yongsheng positively comments that safety in production has achieved tremendous progress in 2020. He points out that the year 2020 is an extraordinary one. Coronavirus and dramatic changes happened to the world have posed great challenge to safety in production at the University. All divisions, offices, schools, and department have been upholding Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in a New Era and have seriously implemented policies and decisions made by CCP Beijing Municipal Committee and Beijing Municipal Government. Epidemic containment and safety in production thus have been handled with unprecedented measure and vigor in a coordinated manner. Solid foundation thus has been laid for safeguarding safety of students, faculties and staff, boosting “construction of five environments”, completing the three historical missions, offering a sound ending for the 13th Five Year Plan, and bringing a good start to the 14th Five Year Plan.  

Wang Yongsheng stresses that the year 2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of Chinese Communist Party as well as the commencement of the 14th Five Year Plan of the University. It is then particularly important to consolidate and maintain stability and security at the University. Firstly, all must be fully aware that safety in production is an important step in implementing policies and decision of Central Party Committee of the Party and of Beijing Municipality. It is aimed at safeguarding quality development of the 14th Five Year Plan and is internally requested in the mission of building BISTU into the best university. Secondly, a new pattern of safe, quality development shall be established. We shall be able to discern the new situation of safety in production. Attention is to be paid to three key periods, i.e., interchange period, transform period, and period of opportunities. Methods of management in safety in production shall be innovated with focus on early-warning, sources of risks, system, and details. Accountability system of safety in production is to be perfected while training on safety shall be enhanced. And thirdly, resultant force for safety in production shall be generated through daily work so that all measures regarding safety in production would be implemented thoroughly.  

Zhou Zhicheng explains key points of instructions by Beijing Municipal Educational Commission on safety in production in 2021 and raises requests in this regard. Zhou Zhicheng points out that the meeting on safety in production, as the new semester of 2021 commences, indicates high degree of importance attached to safety in production by CCP BISTU Committee. It also manifests BISTU resolution and determination on safety in production. Centering on requests of the University on safety in production, all divisions, offices and schools shall enhance their awareness in this regard. All shall bear in mind that safety is the bottom line, life line, and high tension line in production.
