Beijing, 12th March, 2021 (BISTU)—  On the eve of students’ returning to school from winter holiday, Secretary Wang Chuanliang of CCP BISTU Committee and President Wang Yongsheng, accompanied by Deputy Secretary Zhou Zhicheng of CCP BISTU Committee, Vice President Ma Qinghong, Secretary Chen Qinghua of Disciplinary Inspection Committee of CCP BISTU Committee, directors of relating divisions, inspect preparation made for rentrée of the semester.  

At North Gate of Xiaoying Campus, Wang Chuanliang and Wang Yongsheng inspect equipment for epidemic containment and enquirer about measures for containment. They stress that entry into campus shall be strictly controlled. Particularly after students are back on campus, all exits and entrances of campuses shall be managed as ever to safeguard health and security of all faculties, staff and students.

Then Wang Chuanliang and Wang Yongsheng inspect East Gate of Xiaoying Campus and checks equipment for rentrée. They review the procedures for new semester registration and emphasize that epidemic containment must be carried out with firm determination. All measures of prevention and control must be strictly followed. Meanwhile, details of service provided with students shall be optimized, which aims at making students feel more at home while safeguarding their health and security.  

At University Canteen, Wang Chuanliang and Wang Yongsheng carefully enquire epidemic containment and food preparations for rentrée. They stress that epidemic containment for food and staff shall be rigorously carried out. After students return back to campus, focus shall be paid to cohort-based dining time arrangement and disinfection and sterilization to make sure food safety. The university canteen shall be a place where students and faculties can dine happily and at ease.

Wang Chuanliang and Wang Yongsheng then visit students’ halls of residence and are offered detailed information on management and maintenance of halls during the winter holiday. They enquire about daily arrangements of students’ accommodation and other preparations for rentrée. Wang Chuanliang and Wang Yongsheng stress that disinfection and sterilization of halls of residence must be done thoroughly to guarantee success of epidemic containment. Meanwhile, service shall be enhanced to provide students with a comfort, cozy environment of warmth in halls of residence.  

During the inspection, Wang Chuanliang and Wang Yongsheng also check the arrangements made for vaccinations for students after they return to school. They emphasize that the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping on coordinately promote epidemic containment and economic development shall be firmly followed. And the decisions and policies of Beijing Municipality on receiving vaccination for COVID-19 shall be rigorously implemented. All divisions, offices, department, and schools shall offer enough attention to this issue. Wang Chuanliang and Wang Yongsheng also inspect other premises of learning and living, such as classrooms, campus supermarkets, etc. They reiterate that the University will provide quality service for all students, faculties and staff in the coming semester.
