Beijing, 11th September 2023 (BISTU)--- The Opening Ceremony for 2023 international students successfully completed at the auditorium of Jianxiangqiao Campus on 8th September 2023. The Ceremony was attended by Vice President Xiao Zhisong, all faculties and staff of School of International Education, and all new international students and was chaired by Dean Qu Li of School of International Education.  

On behalf of the University, Xiao Zhisong extended warmest welcome to students from 17 countries and congratulated them on joining BISTU, a new home for them. He offered an introduction to the University, including historical development and international collaboration. He expected that international students would soon be adapted to campus life, actively participate in various campus activities, and show their talents. International students were also to share with the rest of the world their learning and living experiences in China, which would help China better understood by the world.   

Saparbaeva Aidai from Kyrgyzstan spoke on behalf of all new international students. He encouraged students to courageously experience the cultural, lingual, temporal, and spatial differences between China and their home countries, strengthen communication, appreciate cultural differences, and promote cultural integration. Ivaniuga Nikita the representative of schooling students majoring enrolled in 2020 in International Economics and Trade, shared the happy moments of learning and living with BISTU.  

Orientation program was arranged following the opening ceremony to provide detailed information for international students to blend into campus life.
