Beijing, 5th March, 2018 (BISTU)— BISTU Chairman of University Council Wang Chuanliang pays a visit to the New Campus and chairs the on-site meeting to facilitate work on construction of the Campus, accompanied by Vice Presidents Ma Qinghong and Chen Qinghua and Assistants to VP Luan Zhongquan and Lin Guoce as well directors of corresponding divisions.  

Following the report on progress of construction of the new campus, Wang Chuanliang in his keynote speech positively, fully confirms the achievements which has been made there, the efforts that all staff and faculties have spared, and the supervision and inspection work that the Supervision and Inspection Committee has made for the New Campus.  

Wang Chuanliang emphasizes that construction of the new campus is a major political issue of BISTU in 2018. It concerns shifting non-capital functions of Beijing, realization of BISTU’s strategic goals, expansion of spatial environment of BISTU, and expectation and development of each individual faculty. In a new era, we shall make new achievements. He hopes that every BISTU member could understand political importance of construction of the New Campus and abide by rules and regulations all the time. With contributions of all, we are sure to satisfactorily complete the task of construction.  

Wang Chuanliang gives clear, specific instructions on progress of construction of the New Campus: firstly it is necessary to perfect system framework with focus on supervision and disciplinary inspection. He points out that the current framework, though a very good one, still will be perfected as the construction goes on. System is the fundamental requirement for each step as well as for management. And by bringing the system of supervision and disciplinary inspection into full play we could make sure to build the new campus into an open, fair project.  

Secondly, it is necessary to regulate scientific construction of the New Campus. As a complex, systematic project, the New Campus requires all to carefully organize and scientifically manage so that we would have improved quality and benefits.  

Thirdly, details deserve enough attention to ensure quality of construction. All work shall be based on new requirements upon higher education in a new ear, actual demand of BISTU development, and BISTU development strategy and planning. We shall apply higher standards, stricter requirements, and make better projects. It is aimed at constructing the spatial environment which is elegant, intelligent, comfort, and artistic.  

And fourthly, subjective initiative shall be brought into full play. Wang Chuanliang points out that happiness is, as always, the result of hardship and hard work. Construction of the new campus is closely connected with the glorious historical mission of BISTU to re-ascend to the list of national leading universities. We respect history and laws. But we can also bring subjective initiative into fully to facilitate development of BISTU.  

Ma Qinghong says that all faculties and staff relating to construction of the New Campus will strictly follow rules and instructions of the University. Everything will be carefully organized and supervised.  

Chen Qinghua introduces that supervision committee has been coordinating construction of the New Campus in terms of disciplinary inspection. She says that all relating divisions and departments are expected to strictly follow all rules and regulations so as to lay a solid foundation to secure construction of the New Campus.
