Beijing, 3rd November 2024 (BISTU)--- Balabala, a BISTU robot team composed of Wang Wenbo, Liu Chenrui, and Sun Yi (all majoring in Quality Management Engineering) and supervised by Wu Zhunan of School of Management Science and Engineering, successfully defended champion in the finals of China Robot Competition 2024 of Robocup World Cup 2024.

China Robot Competition 2024 of Robocup World Cup 2024, the most influential and long-standing robotics competition in academic subjects in China, is also a big event of communication and exchanges in intelligent manufacturing. As an annual event sponsored by Chinese Association of Automation for 25 years, it is listed as an A2 level competition at BISTU.

Themed “Hard technology and new quality productive forces”, the 2024 competition aimed at promoting basic research, technological application, industrial commercialization of research achievements, scenarios of application, market development, etc. The 2024 China Robot Competition kicked off in Xi’an on Friday. More than 1,700 teams from over 200 universities participated in this competition.

Preparations made by School of Management Science and Engineering have started as early as in January 2024. Three out of total 9 teams entered the national finals. The winning team successfully defended champion in culture and creativity section of the Competition.

Adhering to the “information technology” feature of the University, School of Management Science and Engineering actively encouraged students to participate in extracurricular activities in science and technology. Great achievements have been made in the “information plus majors plus management” talent cultivation model.
