In his speech, Wang Chuanliang points out that voluntary forestation is statutory duty of all citizens as well as a fine tradition of the Party and Chinese nation. Since the 18th Party Congress, General Secretary Xi Jinping has been setting a preeminent example by taking part in forestation and giving a lead in advocating the idea of green development. Guided by the overall principle of political construction, BISTU has reached the consensus of “building the best university and achieving the best we can” and has embarked on a new pathway of “construction of five environments”. We are to hold fast to the conviction that  “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. In the course of building a high level university with distinctive features in information technology, we shall comprehensively implement the green development principle and take initiative in devoting to ecological civilization construction. All students, faculties and staff shall carry forward the spirit of diligence and honor, cherish the legacy of forestation, beautify green campuses, and make BISTU a role model of educational institutions of green development.
