Beijing, 18th August 2026 (BISTU)--- BISTU ranked the 866th of the world and 199th of China in the 2026 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) published by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy. It is the first time that BISTU enters ARWU Global Top 1000 list.

BISTU ranked the 182nd on 2026 ARWU of Chinese Universities published on 15th April 2026, a substantial increase of 22 places compared to last year. The increase of ranking symbolized new breakthrough achieved in comprehensive strengths, academic competitiveness, global reputation, and social influence of the University.

The University has been following the general development philosophy of “elevating image, strengthening cohesion, providing better service, and boosting development” in recent years. A series of achievements have been made, in addition to rapid growth and evident improvement in academic discipline building, scientific and technological innovation, high-quality innovative development, diversified talent cultivation, dynamic staff development, and effective social services. The comprehensive strengths, core competitiveness, and social influence of the University have been significantly enhanced.

The 15th Five Year Plan would see new drives of the University in exploring and building new development patterns, implementing new development philosophy, and fostering high-quality development to strive to make new and greater contributions to Chinese modernization and the building of a leading country in education.
