Beijing, 9th June 2023 (BISTU)--- BISTU delegation headed by Secretary Wang Chuanliang of CPC BISTU Committee visited alumni and alumni-founded companies in Guangdong on 8th and 9th June 2023 to promote thematic education and implement the campaign of “secretaries and presidents of universities visiting companies for students’ employment”. The delegation was joined by Deputy Secretary Wang Wenjie of CPC BISTU Committee, Vice President Fang Deying, Secretary Chen Qinghua of Discipline Inspection Committee of CPC BISTU Committee, Vice President Chen Xin, Vice President Wang Xingfen, and Assistant to VP Lin Guoce.  

The delegation visited Skyworth in Shenzhen on 9th June 2023 and was warmly received by Vice President He Chengmin of Skyworth Digital Technology Co., Ltd., a BISTU alumnus enrolled in 1995. Wang Chuanliang and delegation members visited digital hall of Skyworth and was informed of the Skyworth full industry chain of 5G+4K/8K+VR, intelligent security service, and new energy automobiles.  

The seminar chaired by Fang Deying then was held with Guangdong BISTU Alumni Association at News Center of Skyworth Group. Wang Chuanliang and delegation members had constructive talks with a number of alumni, including Li Xiangjun, Li Zhixing, Li Chuan (enrolled in 1989), Wang Xiaojun (enrolled in 1993), and Li Junye (enrolled in 1994).  

Wang Chuanliang pointed out that alumni carried the spiritual temperament of a university and they were indispensible resources for sustainable development of the university. CPC BISTU Committee has been attaching great importance to alumni work. Recent years have witnessed substantial progresses that the University has made in almost all aspects with evident growth in educational strength and social reputation. We have entered a new stage of all-round development. BISTU successfully accomplished three historical missions, i.e., construction and relocation of the New Campus, approval of doctoral programs, and new breakthroughs in teaching and research. Celebration of the 85th anniversary of the University was also successfully organized in 2022. Now we were on a new journey to building a high level university with distinctive feature in information technology. The University would be together with all alumni to carry forward our fine tradition and to promote high-quality development in education.  

Li Xiangjun informed senior administrators of the University of the latest progress with issues concerning BISTU alumni in Guangdong. Li Chuan and Li Junye offered introductions to the companies they have founded. Following their donation of the stone carved with the name of BISTU, Guangdong alumni make another donation of special funds for alumni activities.  

BISTU souvenirs were presented to Guangdong BISTU Alumni Association by Secretary Wang Chuanliang of CPC BISTU Committee (Chairman of BISTU Alumni Association). Secretary Chen Qinghua of Discipline Inspection Committee of CPC BISTU Committee presented the commemorative book on the 85th anniversary of BISTU.
