Beijing, 12th February 2023 (BISTU)--- Secretary Wang Chuanliang of CPC BISTU Committee conducted inspection on relocation of the New Campus on 12th February 2023. The Inspection was attended by Deputy Secretary Zhou Zhicheng of CPC BISTU Committee, Vice President Chen Xin, Vice President Ye Xiangzhong, Director Li Huatao of Organizational Department (a member of Standing Committee of CPC BISTU Committee), Director Du Shizhi of Publicity Department (also a member of standing committee of CPC BISTU Committee), and directors of related divisions and offices. 　 

Wang Chuanliang firstly inspected Lide Building on preparations for relocation of administrative offices and divisions of the University as well as office furniture, facilities, telephones, etc. He stressed that we must make plans in advance and consider as many details as possible to ensure smooth relocation.  

Then Wang Chuanliang inspected two sites in progress, i.e., Financial Hall and One-stop Service Hall for Students. Learning about arrangements of construction, Wang Chuanliang emphasized that spatial planning should be carefully considered to enhance efficiency of services provided with students. Our objective is to “make students and faculties bother less in finding services and supports”. Wang Chuanliang said.  

When inspecting students Development Center, Wang Chuanliang said the theatre should be built in a higher standard. He reiterated that the theatre served as a platform carrying the youth of students. A high standard theatre would provide a better platform for versatile BISTU students to show their talents.  

In Information Building, Wang Chuanliang inspected preparations of four schools (School of Information and Communication Engineering, School of Computer Science, School of Economics and Management, and School of Information Management) in moving into the building. As was planned, over 1,300 undergraduate students (enrolled in 2020) of six schools and all administrative offices of the four schools were to be relocated in the building. Wang Chuanliang requested that safety and security should be put in the first place. Emergency response planning should be made. And safety of students and faculties in relocation enjoyed top priority. Second, logistic services on the New Campus in respect of accommodation, canteen, University Clinic, etc., should be ready to make sure faculties and students start their life and learning on the New Campus smoothly. And third, a rational planning was required to allocate all buildings and other teaching resources to ensure the new semester to run in an orderly manner.
