Beijing, 19th November 2024 (BISTU)--- Chairman Xie Jiangling visited Beijing No. 80 High School and joined the unveiling ceremony for “Premium Student Pool”on 18th November 2024. The ceremony chaired by Chairman Li Jun of Beijing No. 80 High School was also joined by Vice Mayor Fan Yonghong of Chaoyang District, Chairman Dong Jian of Chaoyang Education Commission, Principal Ren Weidong of Beijing No. 80 High School, and Vice President Wang Xingfen of BISTU.

Xie Jiangling extended thanks to Chaoyang District and Chaoyang Education Commission for their support with establishment of the premium student pool. Following the principle of “establishing a better image, strengthening cohesion, providing better service, and boosting development”, BISTU has been endeavoring to build “a campus of warmth, calmness, and vitality”, with a series achievements made in respect of new campus construction, academic disciplines, talent cultivation, faculty and staff, and academic research. Xie Jiangling added that Beijing No. 80 High School, with its long-established history and good reputation, finds agreement with BISTU in a number of areas, indicating a large room of cooperation. It was expected that both institutions would strengthen communication, share resources, and jointly promote innovation in talent cultivation model to achieve mutual development.

On behalf of Chaoyang District and Chaoyang Education Commission, Fan Yonghong expressed congratulations to establishment of the premium student pool. He pointed out that Chaoyang District attached great importance to education, aiming to nurture high-quality talents with international and modern qualities who could support the development of new quality productive forces. It was hoped that both institutions would explore new models and new pathways of education to make fresh contributions to social and economic development of Beijing.

Ren Weidong extended warm welcome to Chairman Xie Jiangling. He pointed out that BISTU, with distinctive feature and increasing strengths in education, sees a great future. He looked forward to cooperation of both institutions in talent cultivation and teaching. Following an introduction to Beijing No. 80 High School, he commented that establishment of the premium student pool would serve as a good start for both institutions to share educational resources, enhance educational quality, and facilitate all-round development of students.

On the signing ceremony, Wang Xingfen offered an introduction to BISTU in respect of educational history, current facilities, campuses, and quality of talent cultivation.

The meeting and ceremony were also attended by General Administration Office of Chaoyang District, teachers of Beijing No. 80 High School, and directors and deans of BISTU divisions and schools, including General Administration Office, School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronic Engineering, and Office for Admissions and Career Consultancy.
