Beijing, 11th June 2023 (BISTU)--- BISTU delegation headed by Secretary Wang Chuanliang of CPC BISTU Committee visited Nansha Photon Sensing Technology Institute to conduct high-quality thematic education. The survey was joined by Deputy Secretary Wang Wenjie of CPC BISTU Committee, Vice President Fang Deying, Secretary Chen Qinghua of Discipline Inspection Committee of CPC BISTU Committee, Vice President Chen Xin, Vice President Wang Xingfen, and Assistant to VP Li Guoce.  

Wang Chuanliang and delegation members visited Nansha Photon Sensing Technology Institute on 9th June 2023 to learn about development planning and research arrangements of the Institute and reviewed the reports delivered by related faculties on academic progresses and future objectives.  

The first Nansha Academic Summit on Intellisense Technology, attended by a number of academicians and over a hundred experts and professors of sensor industry, was held on 10th June 2023 to jointly explore industrial application and future development trends of artificial intelligence and high end sensors. The Summit was addressed by Wang Chuanliang and chaired by Chen Xin.  

Wang Chuanliang pointed out that BISTU was a key university in providing support with national strategic development in science and technology. We have been following the principle of serving national development to incorporate high level research achievements in building Beijing into “four centers”, construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Greater Bay Area), and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development. BISTU Nansha Photon Sensing Technology Institute was one of the achievements we have made in this regard.  

Wang Chuanliang stressed that the Summit attracted elites of the industry. Academicians and experts would definitely produce valuable suggestions for development of intellisense industry. Regarding the next step of Nansha Photon Sensing Technology Institute, Wang Chuanliang hoped that a coordinated innovation platform would be established between BISTU and local governments to facilitate resources convergence and integration and to better utilize industrial policies of Nansha District. Emphasis should also be paid to organized research activities and incubation of key fundamental technologies of BISTU laboratories. In general, the common objective of the Institute “Embodying national interest, serving national strategy, shouldering national missions, and representing national standard” conforms to the principle in enhancement of BISTU research, development of Greater Bay Area and Nansha District, and high quality development of intellisense industry.  

During the survey, Wang Chuanliang and delegation members also visited Nansha City Planning Exhibition Hall and Guangzhou Toyota to be informed of industrial layout and policies for the purpose of promoting cooperation between BISTU and local governments and enterprises.  

The survey was attended by divisions and school of the University, including General Administration Office, Office for Scientific Research, External Liaison Office, etc.
