Beijing, 7^th March 2023 (BISTU)--- BISTU Special Annual Conference on International Exchange and Communication, attended by Vice President Chen Xin and chaired by Director Qu Li of International Cooperation Department (Dean of International Education School), successfully completed on 6^th March 2023 at the New Campus.  

Chen Xin spoke highly of achievements that BISTU has made in international exchange and communication and reiterated the mission and responsible of international exchange and communication in promoting development of the University and international & internal dual circulation development. Chen Xin pointed out that international work at the University shall strengthen political awareness, take initiative in seizing new opportunities, and make sound top design based on features and strengths of the University to improve level and quality of our educational globalization and. Chen Xin raised specific requests for international exchange and communication at BISTU. To begin with, exchange and cooperation with friendly countries and countries along the Belt and Road shall be strengthened. Second, international cooperation and exchange in respect of teaching, academic research, and talent cultivation shall be enhanced based on academic disciplines to be approved of doctoral programs, high-level key laboratories, and International Laboratory for Advanced Photonics and Electronics. Third, communication with supervising authorities and institutions shall be strengthened to promote exchange and resource-sharing between the University and other members of University League at Shahe Higher Education Zone and to obtain external resources and support for educational globalization of the University. Fourth, detailed surveys shall be conducted on demands of students and faculties of BISTU schools in educational globalization while urging the schools to make specific international exchange and cooperation plans and encouraging them to play their roles in international cooperation. And fifth, achievements of international exchange and cooperation shall be effectively and efficiently utilized to build a high-level, globalized talent team and to promote bi-lingual teaching and international research collaboration. 

New situation and new challenges of international exchange and cooperation were analyzed and new missions and new objectives for the following few years were confirmed on the conference. Reports on foreign experts and talent introduction, faculty training, student exchange programs, Sino-foreign running programs, and international students were made by faculties and staff of International Cooperation Department and School of International Education.  

The conference was also attended by Deputy Director Hu Zhangyu (Vice Dean of School of International Education) and Vice Dean Cai Ying of School of International Education.
