Close coordination among three institutions, i.e., BISTU, CUIT and NUIST, has formed a new pattern of talent cultivation with distinctive feature in information technology. He added.

Guo Caili said that the Contest provided a vivid presentation of “a shared virtual plus physical community”, the philosophy of establishing MOE virtual teaching and research offices. Successful practices of BISTU are now being presented as “dynamic examples” shared by all universities in China. It greatly facilitated inter-university communication and resource-sharing and carried great implications for enhancing the quality of talent cultivation in electronics and information engineering.

Wang Jiaqi warmly congratulated the Contest and pointed out that it is a replicable BISTU-marked paradigm for all universities in promoting reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education. It has exemplary implications for the objective of building Beijing into a center of international science and technology innovation.

Dean Li Xuehua of College of Information and Communication Engineering reviewed the past nine years of BISTU Freshmen Innovation Contest and introduced itinerary for the first National Freshmen Innovation Contest in Electronics and Information Engineering.

Organizing Committee meeting for National Freshmen Innovation Contest in Electronics and Information Engineering was then held by BISTU, CUIT and NUIST to discuss detailed matters concerning the contest.
