Beijing, 27th October 2024 (BISTU)--- Supervised by China Association for Science and Technology and organized by China Society of Automotive Engineers, the 2024 Formula Student China was held from 21st to 26th October 2024 in Hefei of Anhui Province. The Competition greeted 88 teams of electric cars, 34 teams of autonomous cars, and over 4000 attendees inclusive of corporate representatives, judges, staff of the competition, volunteers, etc. MCT, the team of MOE Key Laboratory of Modern Measurement and Control Technology supervised by Wang Liyong, Su Qinghua, Song Yue and Wang Guoquan, ranked the 5th in car design and the 8th in overall performance and won a national second prize in Formula Student Autonomous China (FSAC).

Formula Student Autonomous China is a comprehensive competition in science and technology centering on vehicle design, manufacturing, control, and autonomous-driving techniques. It covered a wide spectrum of areas, including vehicle structure design, dynamic simulation, electric system operation and control, safety in autonomous-driving technology, and programming and testing for various algorithms.

BISTU team successfully developed and manufactured a high-performance, top-safety, qualified autonomous-driving formula car in line with the requirements of the Competition. The courage and tenacity MCT members, plus their perseverance in pursuing excellence, have truly touched all audiences.

Electric and autonomous driving has become a trend for auto industry. It is now necessary to cultivate high-end cross-boundary talents including automotive, electronics, automatic control, communication, automation, optics, etc.. Formula Student China, as a platform for university students who wish to contribute to auto industry of China, witnesses wisdom and endeavor of outstanding young Chinese students.
