Beijing, 14th July 2025 (BISTU)— Opening Ceremony of the AI Sumer Camp for Beijing No. 11 High School organized by BISTU greeted President Guo Fu of BISTU, Chairperson Qiu Yue and Principal Wang Meng of Beijing No. 11 High School, and Vice President Wang Xingfen of BISTU.

Guo Fu extended warm welcome to all teachers and students attending the Summer Camp. He pointed out that AI is now deeply reshaping the way human beings live and work. BISTU actively embrace new technologies and has been committed to exploring the wide application of AI technology in teaching, research and management. Evident progress has been achieved in these fields. Guo Fu said that Ministry of Education published a guideline to foster students’ four-in-one AI qualities incorporating knowledge, skills, mindset, and values. This Summer Camp, based on the distinctive features of BISTU in Information Plus and Intelligence Plus, is an important measure in line with the guideline. It was hoped that all students would fully experience college life and feel the charm of technologies. Guo Fu added.

Qiu Yue extended thanks to BISTU for organizing the Summer Camp. He pointed out that it is the call of our times to nurture “science-technology-empowered talents with interdisciplinary knowledge” and the Summer Camp represents efforts of both institutions in building a whole-chain talent cultivation system. He hoped that students joining the Summer Camp would become courageous pioneers, human-centered tech innovators, and reliable and responsible team members.

Wang Xingfen commented that the Summer Camp is the second one organized at BISTU for Beijing No. 11 High School students. She hoped that joint efforts of both institutions would help cultivate more outstanding talents. Wang Xingfen and Wang Meng jointly launched the flag presentation ceremony, symbolizing the beginning of challenging yet rewarding AI exploration voyage.

Director Liang Xu of Department of Academic Affairs offered an introduction to detailed arrangements of the Summer Camp. Fresh experiences are awaiting students.

The Summer Camp is one of the important sectors of the summer learning programs at BISTU. As of now, BISTU summer programs have attracted over 1,100 learners, effectively satisfying the demands of students in multi-dimensional development.

Centering on policies of the state and the municipality, BISTU has successfully constructed a talent cultivation system with a coherent learning pathway, a BISTU-marked contribution to cultivation of AI talents in the new era.
