Qinxin Honors College
Qinxin Honors College of Beijing Information Science and Technology University is an innovative talent cultivation model designed to serve the construction of the "Four Centers" in the capital. It is grounded in the unique characteristics and the distinct advantages of the university in talent cultivation. Through an integrated educational approach that bridges undergraduate and postgraduate studies, as well as a seamless progression from undergraduate to master's and doctoral degrees, the college is dedicated to nurturing digital and intelligent technology innovation talents and industry-leading figures with a solid academic foundation, interdisciplinary knowledge, high caliber, proficient research skills, and a creative mindset.
The college operates under the management system of an entity academy. In each grade, there are two classes, namely the Diligent Learning Class and the Trustworthy Standing Class, with a full credit system in place. The Party secretary and the president of the university assume the roles of head teachers for the Trustworthy Standing Class and the Diligent Learning Class respectively. Courses in mathematics, English, and information technology are organized in separate classes. Additionally, honor characteristic courses are offered, and all-English courses are arranged. Students are required to earn credits by applying for domestic and foreign summer school programs and other relevant projects.
The college handpicks outstanding faculty members from across the university, and students have the autonomy to choose their tutors. Students are able to engage in interdisciplinary learning and practical activities based on their interests. They can also opt for innovative research projects and overseas exchange programs, which can substitute for a portion of the credits of professional basic courses or professional courses.
